Sometimes talking about your problems isn’t enough...

Your mind wants to let go of the past and move forward, but your body is still stuck there.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You’ve tried talk therapy and it was helpful, but it didn’t really get to the root of the problem, which just keeps showing up in your life

  • Your stress, anxiety, or trauma have left you feeling like you're always busy, overwhelmed, or burned out. You feel stuck and unsure how to reconnect to your body.

  • Avoiding, distracting, numbing, pushing away, denying, and generally ignoring your problems have caused them to spill out in unfortunate and uncomfortable ways.

  • You sabotage your progress through perfectionism, self-doubt, and a critical inner voice, which leads you to cling to old habits and patterns that just aren't working for you.

  • You crave a healing journey that incorporates your mind, body, and spirituality, but you have a hard time committing to self-care practices or feel guilty when you take time to slow down and care for yourself.

  • Worse yet, you worry that you may feel this way forever and you will never find a sense of peace or ease in your life.

The body holds data from stressful and traumatic events in every cell and tissue.

Yep, you heard that right.

You actually need a full body approach to healing that can be felt all the way down to your bones and sings in your heart for years to come.

You already possess everything you need to live a happy life.

It resides within your body’s innate intuition.

You just need help accessing it.

Research shows that stress and trauma leave a physical imprint on your brain and body.

When these experiences are not fully processed or integrated, they tend to take deeper root in you, causing more and more problems over time.

They can become scarier, more intense, spill over into other areas of your life, and may even become debilitating.

This can only lead to more stress, more self-doubt, more avoidance, more self-sabotage, more self-hatred, and more hopelessness.

It is not sustainable and you deserve better.

What if instead of chronic stress and overwhelm...

  • You learned how to safely process, manage, and heal old wounds.

  • You trusted your body to guide and inform you of what you need AND you listened when it spoke.

  • You felt calm, clear, and confident that you could skillfully navigate stressors that come your way.

  • Perfectionism, inauthenticity, and negative self-talk no longer ruled your life.

  • You had the resources to manage your mental health and alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma.

All of this is possible for you!

Meet your hosts...

Hi, I'm Keren!

I am a Yoga Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals in their journey to reconnect with their whole self through the practices of yoga, meditation, breathwork, and yoga philosophy. My approach is grounded in the belief that every individual can access resiliency, sense of empowerment, and their inherent wholeness. I aim to share yoga and its contemplative qualities as a way of self-inquiry, and create space for individuals to connect, reflect, nurture self-compassion and wholeness.

Hi, I'm Dez!

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#60608697 WA / #86685 CA), Clinical Supervisor, Yoga Instructor, Mindfulness Coach and owner of Satya Wellness Collective, PLLC.  I specialize in treating the whole person by merging Western and Eastern philosophies, including Evidence-Based practices, yoga, mindfulness, and spirituality.  With over ten years experience in a variety of mental health settings,  I deeply understand the flaws of healthcare in the U.S. Satya Wellness Collective is my commitment to breaking down barriers that limit us from meaningful change and wellbeing, and to transforming mental health as we know it.

  • "The Somatic Liberation Group was really great. Dez and Keren did a great job cueing up the topics and keeping the flow of the sessions moving forward. It was a good add-on to my regular therapy sessions and helped to supplement some of the things I am working through. The combination of group therapy, journaling and yoga that was geared towards the topic for that session helped to have us be in a more experiential part of therapy. It was not a typical yoga class, but really more geared to the theme of the class and was great for people with little to no yoga experience. I really enjoyed it".

  • "These days life is very lonely and having a group of people to talk with and participate in my healing was validating. It was nice to know there was one night a week that I would be around people where I felt understood."

  • "This group opened my eyes to how slowing down through mindful movements, breath-work and meditation can calm my anxiety and make way for a more peaceful experience."

Frequent Asked Questions:

  • This is a closed group that is on a 4 week rotation.

This means that we only allow confirmed participants to enter this group when the group begins on the first scheduled session and for the duration of the 4 scheduled weeks. While the group is in attendance, there will be NO new participants joining, until the next rotation begins.

    Here’s why:

    1. Group cohesion and safety is very important for this group. It takes time to build rapport, so we ask that each group participant commit to the 4 weeks they signed up for, so that all group members can feel safe to build relationships with the other group members.

    2. we want to offer flexible scheduling and time to adjust. Most of our participants report they feel that they have just settled into this group around session 3, and then by session 4 it is over. Our group participants often want to continue with the next rotation if their schedules allows.

    3. At the end of the 4 week rotation, all group members will have the option to continue with the next rotation (with an additional fee), or exit the group (with NO additional fees). That way, if it’s not a good fit or if you have scheduling challenges, you are able exit the group at the end of 4 weeks with no additional commitment, which makes space for new members to enter the group.

  • Group Therapy can be a powerful and valuable place for healing and growth to occur. Group therapy is a process of understanding more about yourself and others in a safe environment.

You are welcome to share as much or as little about yourself while in the group. We strongly encourage you to share openly and honestly with the group, actively participating with the group process.

Participating in group therapy can result in a number of benefits to you, including a better understanding of your personal goals and values, improving personal relationships, and resolution of specific problems you are facing in your life. It is important to recognize that therapy is not magic, and change does not occur overnight. Your willingness to participate fully in the group and your openness to take feedback from your facilitators and other group members will play a role in how much you gain in therapy.

There can be some discomfort involved in participating in group therapy. You may remember unpleasant events or experience unpleasant emotions, which is a typical experience in the therapeutic process. If distressing thoughts, feelings, or emotions arise during group therapy, please talk with the group and the facilitators so we can support you.

  • First, we hear you and you are not alone. In fact, you are in good company, because most of our new participants report feeling this way.

Starting anything new may cause some nervousness. However, if you are up for the challenge, we think you will be pleasantly surprised how supportive and healing this group is.

At the start of this group, most of our participants report feeling nervous and unsure about what to expect. However, at the end of this group, most of our participants report feeling thankful they stuck with the challenge, because they feel very safe and supported in the group, they developed meaningful connections with other group members, they feel this group offers a sense of personal accountability to their practice, and they successfully learned how to manage and release stress, anxiety, and trauma in the body.

Overall, our participants report that this group was worth their time and commitment, as well as extremely rewarding.

  • Presence of members in every scheduled group is vital to the success of the group. Therefore, we ask that you attend all sessions and make this commitment a top priority for the duration of the group.

It is understood that occasionally an emergency may occur that will prevent group attendance. Should you need to cancel or miss a session, you must call, text, or email the group facilitators as soon as possible.

**Please note there are NO refunds for missed sessions.
